Ethical Fashion Initiative
The Ethical Fashion Initiative is a leading program under the International Trade Center, a collaborative agency of the UN and WTO. Its mission is to foster sustainable and inclusive growth in emerging economies by boosting trade and employment within the creative and cultural industries, particularly fashion and textiles. EFI has partnered with budding designers, as well as household names like Vivienne Westwood, Loewe, Adidas, Georgio Armani, and Versace, among many others.
This project aimed to explore how a visual language and memorable logo could expand this initiative to a wider audience of designers, creators, and artisans. EFI connects innovative designers with experts in skilled craftsmanship. The brand imagery uses textiles as a metaphor for this interwoven connection between cultures and new ideas. Every branding element—from the typography to the website design—is imbued with this idea of weaving, threading, and connecting. The website itself serves as a woven canvas of resources and opportunities. The elegance of the logo is a nod to the luxury market and the quality of service available through the initiative.
